December 2011 - BusinessAV moves to larger premises

The move is a direct result of the growth of the company's conference and live event operations.

Our van in the doorway of our new premisesOur new building provides a large car park, improved loading access and much more space for conference stage set building, equipment testing and rehearsals. The building also provides larger offices and meeting room space. Managing Director, David Lee said "The move has been made necessary by the rapid growth of our AV hire and production business. Our new premises are more than double the size of our previous location and this will enable us to provide an even better service with additional benefits for all our clients."

November 2011 - Another client comes back to BusinessAV

Stage set for the Medtronic ConferenceAfter the success of producing their first conference in June, Medtronic came back to BusinessAV to produce their CRDM Stars Conference at Carden Park near Chester. This time our brief was to give them a bigger "Wow Factor" so working closely with the event organiser we provided our Netius Stock Set together with our new Q Colour LED wash lights; the finishing touch was reproducing their company branding into a custom made gobo which was projected on to the set.

October 2011 - BusinessAV works with Seychelles Tourism on a 3 day Roadshow

Seychelles Tourism wanted to take their 2011 Roadshow to another level so they turned to BusinessAV. This was the first time they had engaged an external AV supplier because in previous years they had used only the basic AV equipment provided by hotels. Despite the tight budget we were able to provide our new Eventus Stock Set together with some lighting and PA and with our technicians producing a seamless presentation each night, we received this message on Twitter after the events "Blessed to work with the team @BusinessAV who go beyond the extra mile to make my events AMAZING! Total Stars!"

September 2011 - BusinessAV completes a ten-day Roadshow with South Africa Tourism

Stage set for the South African Tourist BoardFor the third year running BusinessAV operated and supplied sound, lighting and production services for South Africa Tourism producing their regional tour, which took in nine venues all over the UK. Starting in Edinburgh and ending with a two-day event in London, our brief was to help raise the profile of South Africa as a holiday destination to an audience of invited guests from the travel industry. Using our new Playback Pro software we were able to seamlessly integrate both video and PowerPoint during these events. After the Roadshow, we received this from the organiser, “It was a pleasure working with you, and in the 5 years I've been organising these, I think this was the best set of roadshows we've done”.

August 2011 – BusinessAV Goes Full HD

June 2011 – BusinessAV Supports The Wrexham Year of Culture

Picnic in the park with Fron Male Voice Choir at Chirk CastleAs the preferred AV supplier for Wrexham County Borough Council we were asked to provide a large 40ft x 40ft covered stage complete with PA and lighting for a ‘Picnic in the Park’ concert at the beautiful Chirk Castle. Despite the appalling weather conditions over 800 people turned up to enjoy a rousing concert featuring The Fron Male Voice Choir.

June 2011 – BusinessAV back at Chestival

Chesterval performance in the Roman AmphitheatreFor the second year running we were chosen to provide all the AV and production for the month long festival in Chester called ‘Chestival’ This year the organises asked us to provide a large 5m x 3m outdoor video wall complete with stage and PA in the city’s Roman Amphitheatre. This was used to show classic films such as Grease, Some Like It Hot and The Rocky Horror Show. We also provided the PA and production for other festival events which were held in the Town Hall, including the Victorian Vaudeville shows which featured musicians, acrobats and entertainers who were flown in from the USA and Canada and two ‘Audience With’ evenings hosted by Wayne Hemingway and Stuart Maconie.

May 2011 – BusinessAV working for the Israeli and Indian Governments

Stage set for the Indian Government conference raodshowWe are delighted to announce that we were chosen to provide the AV and production for a series of conference roadshows for both The Israeli and Indian governments. Working with an event management company our brief was to provide the AV and production at 15 locations throughout the UK and Ireland, these events would be attended by representatives from the travel industry. After one of these events we received this glowing testimonial from the event management company: “Just a quick note to say a big thanks to your lovely team for another great job. I know this is a challenging client but handled perfectly by the guys and the feedback last night from my client was very complimentary – they highlighted Mark as being particularly fantastic”.

April 2011 – The Chester Food & Drink Festival

For the third year running BusinessAV were chosen to produce the Chester Food & Drink Festival Gala Dinner at Chester Racecourse. As this was their 10th year, the organisers turned to us to provide something extra special, and we did not disappoint! We provided a twin screen set complete with large stage, intelligent lighting and a PA system suitable for a band which provided the after show entertainment.

March 2011 – BusinessAV supports the One Goal Foundation

The One Goal Foundation is a charity which raises money for needy Children in South Africa and is headed by Chantelle Tagoe the fiancée of England footballer Emile Heskey. Our brief was to produce a once-in-life time party and fashion show for 1000 people that will be filmed and aired on Fashion TV. We constructed the huge stage set complete with an enormous screen and catwalk. In addition the extensive lighting rig included intelligent moving lights and LED lighting for the fashion show. Providing excellent lighting quality was essential not only to do justice to the cutting edge fashion displayed on the catwalk, but also to add to the ambience and style of the event.

An event of this size and prestige demands perfect planning and execution, and Project Manager Mark Roberts and the excellent team of technical and support staff at BusinessAV were more than equal to the task.

January 2011 – BusinessAV Produces a Glitzy Award Ceremony for HSBC

From the initial design concept to event delivery, BusinessAV produced the first in a series of award ceremonies for HSBC at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire.

Hosted by the former Scottish and British Lions Rugby Captain Gavin Hastings, the event was attended by over 200 of the bank's staff, who had gathered to celebrate their recent achievements.

The awards ceremony included live camera feeds to the screen, as well as pre-recorded video clips of each of the award nominees and, with our experienced technicians running the show, the whole event ran without a hitch.

After the event we enjoyed some great feedback too: “Many thanks for a great job yesterday, the client couldn't have been happier. I look forward to working with you all again” and “Great job last night, it really went well”.

October 2010 – BusinessAV at Chester’s Literature Festivals

These included presentations from Alastair Campbell (picture), Mark Kermode and Alexei Sayle.

All productions were part of the Chester Literature Festival.

September 2010 - BusinessAV Provides Technical Support for London Fashion Week

A model on the catwalk at London Fashion Week 2010BusinessAV teamed up with Fashion TV and the Hauser Bears charity to provide lighting, PA and event production for the “Once Upon a Time Show”, which was held at The Bloomsbury Ballroom. The event was hosted by Gail Porter and showcased a variety of collections and accessories from a range of designers including David & Goliath, Florian Jayet, Loulou Bontemps, Nichole de Carle and Tour de Force. Tom Foulkes, BusinessAV’s Project Manager said, “This was our first event for London Fashion Week, and was particularly challenging as the show was being filmed for TV, so the lighting had to just right. The event was a great success and we are already talking with the organisers about how we can make the show bigger and better in 2011”.

August 2010 – More Repeat Bookings for BusinessAV

It’s going to be a busy end to the year as British Cycling, Network She and South African Tourism have all come back to us to produce their events again. This autumn we will be working with British Cycling for the third time, South African Tourism for the second year running and producing the Network She Awards for the fourth year in a row. We believe our commitment to providing first class customer service together and honest advice keeps clients coming back year after year.

July 2010 - BusinessAV at the British Masters Showjumping

AV Hire and Event Production at British Masters Showjumping in ChesterFor the second year running BusinessAV provided staging and event production at this International showjumping event held at Chester Racecourse. Dubbed the Hickstead of the North the event saw 50 world class riders jumping for the £120,000.00 prize money. David Lee, BusinessAV’s Managing Director said, “The organisers came to us with the brief of adding some creative production to the competition and I am sure it’s only a matter of time before other showjumping events follow our lead”.

June 2010 – BusinessAV at Chestival

AV Hire with Audio Visual Production outside Chester Town Hall for Chestival 2010BusinessAV have completed a month long partnership with Chester Festivals. Chestival 2010 was 33 days of jam-packed events from outdoor theatre productions in the Roman amphitheatre to a series of live band gigs outside the town hall. We were delighted to have been selected to provide PA, staging and event production for these events, the highlight being producing three ‘Audience With’ evenings with Dan Snow, Robert Lindsay and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

May 2010 – BusinessAV helps Brother Industries celebrate 25 years in Wrexham

AV Hire with Audio Visual Production for Brother Industries VIP 25th AnniversaryWe are proud to have been selected to help one of Wrexham’s biggest employers celebrate 25 years of production in the town. 

BusinessAV provided all the staging, AV, lighting and production for the event which was held inside the Brother factory. The event was attended by over 250 VIPs with representatives from The Welsh Assembly Government and Wrexham County Borough Council joining Senior Management from Brother who had flown in from Japan for the celebration.

February 2010 - BusinessAV Wins a Contract to Produce 22 Conferences for a Major Financial Organisation

We are delighted now offer our clients the opportunity to engage their audience with our state-of-the-art wireless remote devices; the days of presenting to a vacant or unenthusiastic audience are over as we can help bring enjoyment, stimulation and maximum involvement to any conference or live event.

July 2009 – BusinessAV takes delivery of The Mediasite Conference Recorder

AV Hire with Audio Visual Production using the Mediasite ML440 RecorderWe are pleased to announce that we are able to offer our clients a new dimension for their conferences and Live Events – Instant and interactive recording of their keynote presentations!

Our new Mediasite ML440 Recorder is a multi-media recording solution that captures all the elements of any presentation; the speech, PowerPoint slides, video and computer graphics are all recorded and synchronised together at the touch of a button. Alternatively, the presentation can be streamed live or saved and later used on-demand via the web.

David Lee, BusinessAV’s Managing Director said, “Previously having a conference videoed was an expensive option, but with Mediasite all the elements of the presentation are synchronised at the recording stage, this does away with lengthy post conference editing, so hiring Mediasite will prove very cost effective for our clients”.

February 2009 – More Stock Sets Added to BusinessAVs Hire Portfolio

As part of our commitment to offer our clients even more choice when it comes to set design, we are pleased to announce that we have just taken delivery of our new custom-made stock sets. Exclusively made to our specification, (the largest measuring over 14 metres long and 4 metres high) they are sure to add the ‘wow factor’ to any conference or Awards Ceremony.

Royal Appointment for BusinessAV

Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillip at the pening of the LSE's new Acedemic BuildingWe are pleased to announce that we have been chosen to provide the staging and AV for the Royal opening of the £71million New Academic Building for the London School of Economics (LSE).

The event, attended by Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillip was held on the 5th November 2008.

BusinessAV designed and supplied a custom-made backdrop measuring 8 metres long by 3 metres high and printed in LSE’s corporate colours and logos. The backdrop also housed the plaque, which Her Majesty revealed during the official opening.

As well as the stage-set, we also provided 84inch plasma screens and PA for the event, which was attended by over 500 VIPs and students.

High Definition Conference a First for BusinessAV

We are pleased to be one of the first AV companies in the UK to offer our clients a full High Definition 103-inch plasma screen, complete with its matching custom-built stage-set.

This versatile set does away with the traditional screen and projector set-up which has been the conference standard for many years.& Not only do our clients love the clarity of the screen, but as we don’t have to take up the usual amount of space behind the set (for rear projection) venue managers love it too, as we can build the plasma set right up against the wall.
